2/26/19 - Due to historic rain over the last week in middle Tennessee (most rain for February since 1880), Nashville Shores RV Resort has flooded. As of this morning, 80% of the venue is under water (56 of the 72 sites are under water).  Although the Corp of Engineers expects the water to recede within the next 7-10 days, the Nashville Shores team would have to inspect the infrastructure and there’s no way knowing how long it will take to get the venue ready.  Therefore, we are unable to host the competition at Nashville Shores.

NEW VENUE – To avoid cancelling the competition, Jason and I have secured an RV facility 20 minutes  (19 miles) from Nashville Shores - Wilson County Fairgrounds (945 East Baddour Parkway, Lebanon, TN 37087).  This facility has over 1000 RV sites and all have water and 30/50 amp power.  All sites are on grass, there is no sewer, and a dump facility is on site.  For the teams that would be arriving earlier in the week, there are sites available.

As we mentioned, we did not want to cancel the competition. We spent the last 3 years trying to host the best competition possible and will make sure year 4 (this year) will continue that tradition.  We’ve scrambled the last two days to put together an alternative plan and are confident everyone will be satisfied.  Other than the venue change, the competition will not change in any way and will represent the Smoke on the Shores BBQ Competition tradition.
